Refund & cancellation policy
This policy covers deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for professional engagements commissioned from App Integration.
Scope
These rules apply to API Reliability Assessments, Integration Latency Audits, Error Budget Workshops, and Quarterly Reliability Reviews. This site does not sell physical products, software licences, or self-serve subscriptions.
Eligibility
Refunds are available when App Integration cancels an engagement we cannot reschedule, or when you cancel within the windows below before work has meaningfully started. Once measurement or workshop facilitation has begun, fees convert to fees for work performed as described under “Work already started.”
Timeframe to request
Refund requests must be emailed to [email protected] within 14 days of the event that triggers eligibility (cancellation confirmation or our inability to deliver).
Deposits
Assessment and audit deposits (typically 40%) reserve the measurement window. Deposits are refundable in full if you cancel at least 10 business days before the agreed start date. Cancellations inside 10 business days forfeit the deposit unless we rebook an equivalent engagement with another client for the same window.
Workshops
Workshop fees paid in advance are refundable in full if cancelled at least 5 business days before the session. Inside 5 business days, 50% is retained for preparation already completed. Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
Quarterly reviews
Quarterly fees cover a defined review cycle. If you cancel before data pull begins for that quarter, unused fees for that quarter are refundable. After data pull begins, the quarter is billable.
Partial refunds
If an engagement is reduced in scope by mutual written agreement after start, we may issue a partial refund proportional to undelivered phases, minus non-recoverable prep already performed.
Non-refundable items
Third-party costs expressly approved by you in writing (for example specialised venue hire for an on-site workshop) are non-refundable once committed. Completed readout sessions and delivered findings packs are non-refundable.
Work already started
“Started” means credentials were used for measurement, instrumentation review meetings occurred, or workshop facilitation began. In those cases, fees reflect time spent at our standard daily rate implied by the engagement estimate, and any remainder of a prepaid fee may be refunded.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without penalty with at least 5 business days’ notice, subject to our availability. Further reschedules may incur a rebooking fee of 10% of the engagement fee.
No-shows
If your stakeholders do not attend a scheduled readout or workshop without 24 hours’ notice, that session is treated as delivered for fee purposes. A replacement session may be booked at an additional half-day rate.
Refund process & method
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days after approval. Bank transfer refunds may take longer depending on your institution. We will confirm the amount in writing before transfer.
